Many fundraisers and government-approved services were created to help the farmers who were affected by the hurricane. One agency that attempted to help the farmers was FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), who donated over $2 billion to Puerto Rico. However, this money is only being used to rebuild structures and buildings, and not given to the farmers to help rebuild their vegetation. Organic Farm Charity visited Puerto Rico recently to discuss directly with the farmers regarding their current financial state. Organic Farm Charity will directly provide the funding to the farmers through fundraising events.
